Dr. Nchemba made the remarks today while inaugurating the newly constructed Chukwani Secondary School, part of practical celebrations marking 62 years of the Revolution.

The school, built to modern standards, features Science and Computer Laboratories, a library, and ICT-enabled classrooms designed to enhance teaching and learning.

“I commend Dr. Mwinyi for constructing these modern schools equipped with top-quality facilities and for prioritizing efficient land use. Education is a true legacy students must study diligently and make the most of the opportunities provided. Take care of this infrastructure, as it is an asset for current and future generations,” the Prime Minister said.

Highlighting the Government’s commitment to education, Dr. Nchemba stressed that investments in skills, knowledge, and values equip youth to think critically, innovate, and actively contribute to national development.

“Preparing our youth is not only for exams but for life, employment, and nation-building,” he added.

The Prime Minister urged citizens, teachers, and students to protect and maintain school infrastructure, emphasizing that education facilities are public assets and a legacy for generations to come.

He also called on parents and communities to take an active role in nurturing the youth, stating, “The responsibility for raising our children begins at home and continues in schools it is a shared societal duty.”

The theme of this year’s Revolution celebrations, “Peace and Unity: The Foundation of Our Development”, underscores that sustainable development is only possible in an environment of stability, cohesion, and national solidarity.

Dr. Nchemba highlighted that the country’s achievements, including major investments in education and social infrastructure, are anchored in peace and unity.

Deputy Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Khadija Salum Ali, noted that the Government is committed to building modern schools that use ICT to improve learning outcomes. “ICT allows teachers to reach students effectively, no matter where they are,” she said.

According to Permanent Secretary Khamisi Abdallah Said, the Chukwani project, which includes 42 classrooms, laboratories, offices, and a computer room, cost TZS 6.1 billion and was completed between May and December 2025.
