President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, today officially swore in a new batch of ministers, deputy ministers, and ambassadors during a ceremony at Chamwino State House in Dodoma.
Among the key appointments, Professor Palamagamba John Adan Kabudi assumed office as Minister of State in the President’s Office (Special Duties), while Paul Christian Makonda was sworn in as Minister of Information, Culture, Arts, and Sports. Patrobas Paschal Katambi now serves as Minister of Home Affairs.
The President also appointed Dennis Lazaro Londo as Deputy Minister for Industries and Trade and Ayoub Mohamed Mahmoud as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs.
In a significant move for administrative leadership, Dr. Richard Stanslaus Muyungi was sworn in as Secretary-General in the Vice President’s Office for Union Affairs and Environment.
The diplomatic corps also received fresh appointments. Engineer Zena Ahmed Said, Engineer Cyprian John Luhemeja, Waziri Rajab Salum, and Major General Mbaraka Naziad Mkeremy took oaths as ambassadors, pledging to serve the nation with integrity and dedication.
The ceremony was attended by top government officials, including Vice President Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel John Nchimbi and Prime Minister Dr. Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba, who witnessed the historic swearing-in.
Addressing the newly appointed leaders, President Samia underscored the importance of ethical leadership and professionalism in delivering public service.
She urged them to work tirelessly in advancing Tanzania’s development agenda and strengthening governance across ministries and diplomatic missions.
The Chamwino State House event is seen as a decisive step by the President in ensuring strong, accountable leadership in critical government positions, both at home and abroad.
