President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed several top officials to strengthen leadership in key national institutions.
Dr. Rahma Salim Mahfoudh has been appointed Deputy Governor for Administration and Internal Control at the Bank of Tanzania (BoT), following the completion of Julian Raphael’s term.
In the same statement, President Samia appointed Dr. Ladislaus Chang’a as Director General of the Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA), after serving in an acting capacity.
Professor Muhammad Kambi will take over as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Muhimbili National Hospital, succeeding Dr. Ellen Senkoro, whose term has ended.
Additionally, Ambassador Wilson Masilingi has been appointed Chairman of the Tanzania Extractive Industries Transparency and Accountability Institute (TEITI), replacing Ludovick Utouh, who has completed his tenure.
The appointments were announced today, January 29, 2025, by Bakari Machumu, Director of Presidential Communications at State House, Dar es Salaam.
These leadership changes are part of President Samia’s ongoing efforts to enhance governance and accountability across strategic institutions.
