The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) five-star hotel under construction in Mwanza is set to be completed on schedule, following a site inspection by the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office – Labour, Employment and Relations, Deus Clement Sangu. The project has now reached 83 percent completion.

During his visit today, January 5, 2025, Minister Sangu was welcomed by NSSF Director General, Masha Mshomba, and staff from the Mwanza regional office.

He reviewed the ongoing work, met with project managers, and received updates from technical teams on the remaining construction.

After the inspection, Minister Sangu directed the contractor to adhere strictly to the project timeline. He noted that the hotel, once completed, will attract both local and international visitors, generating foreign revenue and contributing to Mwanza’s economic growth.

“I urge the Director General and his team to ensure the project is completed on schedule. This hotel will not only serve the people of Mwanza but will also be a major attraction for tourists, boosting the city’s economy,” he said.

The Minister also thanked President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for supporting the project, describing it as a strategic investment that will increase the value of Mwanza and benefit the country as a whole.

Responding to the directives, NSSF Director General Masha Mshomba assured that the remaining work will continue efficiently and on time, ensuring the hotel is delivered as planned.
