The first 100 days of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan’s tenure have delivered significant development milestones in Mbeya District, Executive Director Erica Yegella has said.
Yegella highlighted that progress has been recorded across key sectors, including education, water, health, and infrastructure, alongside the creation of new employment opportunities this year.
“Many projects in Mbeya District have been successfully completed, while others are still ongoing. We are especially proud of the employment gains, with 111 new jobs created,” Yegella said.
In the health sector, five new dispensaries have already opened their doors to residents following the deployment of qualified staff. Another 11 dispensaries are expected to be completed soon, with several others in the final stages of construction.
Yegella said the progress reflects President Samia’s commitment to delivering quality and accessible services to citizens. She added that the district council continues to collaborate closely with the Central Government to ensure sustainable development is achieved.
“The first 100 days have not only accelerated local development but have also reinforced our shared goal of improving livelihoods for every resident,” she said.
