JKT Tanzania disappointed after goalless draw with Tanzania Prisons

JKT Tanzania has expressed frustration after being held to a 0-0 draw by Tanzania Prisons at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya yesterday.

The NBC Premier League side struggled to break through a resilient home team, leaving their supporters disappointed with the missed opportunity to secure maximum points.

Speaking to the media, JKT Tanzania spokesperson Masau Bwire said the result was disheartening, noting the opponent’s current form offered little room for optimism.

“Whenever a team without strong recent results faces a well-performing opponent, it is expected that the stronger side will dominate. But we have prepared carefully to ensure that whoever we face, the only guaranteed result is a draw,” Bwire explained.

He praised Head Coach Ahmad Ally and the technical bench for their tactical preparation, saying their strategies are helping the team stay competitive despite challenges on the field.

Bwire also called on Tanzanian football fans to continue supporting JKT Tanzania, emphasizing the club’s mission to demonstrate that a team built on local talent and a capable coaching staff can compete at the highest level without relying on foreign players.

The team now turns its focus to their upcoming clash with Dodoma Jiji, determined to secure a positive result.
