Ibenge confident Azam will outshine Yanga in Mapinduzi Cup Final

Azam FC is set to clash with Yanga in the NMB Mapinduzi Cup final tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. at Gombani Stadium in Pemba, Zanzibar.

Azam’s head coach, Frolent Ibenge, acknowledged Yanga as currently the top team in Tanzania but insisted his squad is ready to outplay them.

“We know Yanga is the best team in the country at the moment, but we are determined to be even better on the field. I have full confidence in all my players. I don’t like depending on a single player; the team must perform as one,” Ibenge said.

Meanwhile, Azam midfielder Nassoro Saaduni said the players are well-prepared and focused on executing their game plan.

“We are here to compete, and our goal is clear—to win the championship. We will follow our coaches’ instructions and give everything on the field,” Saaduni said.

Azam aims to showcase teamwork, discipline, and strategy in tomorrow’s decisive match as they chase their Mapinduzi Cup glory.
