The Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo (MP), visited the 12th Zanzibar International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2026 at the Zanzibar Exhibition Centre in Dimani.
The fair, which opened on December 29, 2025, and runs until January 16, 2026, is part of celebrations marking the 62nd anniversary of Zanzibar’s Revolution.
It provides a platform for businesses and investors to explore opportunities within Zanzibar and beyond.
During his visit, Minister Kombo toured the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation pavilion, where he was received by the Acting Director of the Zanzibar Foreign Office and ministry staff attending the exhibition.
ZITF 2026 brings together government institutions from Zanzibar and mainland Tanzania, allowing them to showcase their services and products while educating the public about available business and investment opportunities. The event also aims to strengthen trade relations and attract investment to the region.
