The Secretary-General of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Ambassador Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro, accompanied by Deputy Secretary-General for Mainland Affairs, Mr. John Mongella, today inspected the ongoing construction of the party’s new headquarters in the NCC area of Dodoma.
The visit, conducted on January 17, 2027, focused on assessing the progress, quality, and timelines of the multi-story office complex, which is set to modernize CCM’s administrative operations in the nation’s capital.
Dr. Migiro emphasized the strategic importance of the headquarters, describing it as more than just an office building.
“This headquarters will serve as the nerve center for party operations, meetings, and strategic planning, reinforcing CCM’s organizational efficiency,” she said.
She called on contractors and workers to maintain high standards of workmanship, professionalism, and timely delivery.
“Quality and speed must go hand in hand. This building reflects CCM’s commitment to excellence and effective governance,” Dr. Migiro added.
Mr. Mongella noted that the new facility will accommodate the party’s administrative staff, provide space for national-level meetings, and enhance coordination between the central office and regional branches.
He also highlighted the project’s contribution to the local economy, creating employment opportunities for contractors, engineers, and laborers.
The headquarters’ construction aligns with Dodoma’s growing role as Tanzania’s political and administrative hub.
The building is part of CCM’s broader investment in infrastructure to strengthen its operational capacity across the country.
During the inspection, officials reviewed the building’s structural work, interior planning, and finishing touches, ensuring that the project adheres to the agreed specifications and timelines.
Contractors assured that all efforts are being made to complete the project within schedule.
The Secretary-General concluded the visit by stressing that the new headquarters will symbolize CCM’s vision, stability, and readiness to meet future challenges, serving as a modern landmark for the party in Dodoma.
