Solicitor General Dr Ally Possi has inspected the ongoing construction of the Government Solicitor General’s Office at Mtumba Government City, stressing the importance of completing the project on schedule while maintaining high construction standards.
The building, funded entirely by the government, has reached 73 percent completion. So far, TZS 16 billion has been spent, with a total of TZS 26 billion expected to complete the project.
During the visit, Dr. Possi directed the contractor, SUMA JKT, and the supervising consultant, TBA, to ensure the project meets required standards and durability, allowing long-term use.
He also called for proper maintenance of the underground water well at the site to provide water during the dry season and stressed environmental conservation to make Dodoma greener.
“I expect a building of high quality and standards that will bring services closer to citizens while enhancing efficiency in the delivery of justice across the country,” Dr. Possi said.
He added that completing the building this year is crucial, as the office works closely with the Tanzanian Judiciary, which has already relocated to Dodoma.
Dr. Possi was accompanied by the Solicitor General’s Office management, the contractor’s representative, Eastern Region Construction Manager of SUMA JKT, Colonel Saul Chiwanga, and the supervising consultant’s representative, Acting Project Manager at TBA, Mr. Daniel Nkruma.
