ACT Wazalendo Leadership urges supporters in Kiwani not to lose hope

By The Respondents Reporter

The ACT Wazalendo Regional Leadership Committee in Mkoani, Pemba, has intensified efforts to strengthen the party at the grassroots level by urging members and supporters to remain steadfast in the struggle for justice and democratic change.

The call was made during a working visit to Kiwani Constituency, part of a wider regional tour aimed at reinforcing party structures and revitalising political mobilisation from branch level to the top leadership.

During the visit, regional leaders held in-depth discussions with constituency leadership committees and branch leaders, focusing on strengthening unity, discipline and organisational efficiency within the party. The meetings also provided a platform to consolidate solidarity among members amid ongoing political challenges.

Party leaders outlined the party’s current strategy for organisational strengthening and briefed members on the status of various legal cases filed by ACT Wazalendo, including steps taken so far to pursue them through lawful and peaceful means.

Addressing the meeting, ACT Wazalendo Central Committee member Seif Khamis encouraged members and supporters not to lose hope in the pursuit of democratic reforms.

He emphasised that political struggles require patience, resilience and unity, calling on members to maintain confidence in their leadership and remain committed to the party’s principles.

He further noted that meaningful political change is achieved through persistence, unity and peaceful engagement.

The Regional Leadership Committee also called on constituency and branch leaders to intensify democratic mobilisation efforts while upholding peace and unity, reiterating the party’s commitment to continuing its advocacy for justice, equality and respect for the will of the people of Zanzibar.

The regional mobilisation tour will continue on Wednesday, January 8, with a visit to Mtambile Constituency, where party leaders are expected to meet leadership committees and members to deepen dialogue and further strengthen the party’s presence across the region.
