Women and young people are at the heart of Tanzania’s peace and stability, CCM Secretary-General Dr. Asha Rose Migiro has said, urging all citizens to actively safeguard the nation’s future.

Dr. Migiro spoke on Thursday, December 4, 2025, during the opening of the Women’s Forum Congress in Dodoma, where participants discussed strategies for a positive future under the theme “Mama ni Amani” (Mother is Peace).

“Where mothers are present, there is peace in many forms. Today, we see women and youth uniting to promote this vital message. President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan sends her special greetings and is pleased to witness this collaboration between generations,” Dr. Migiro said.

She emphasized that the forum mirrors President Samia’s Four Pillars Philosophy, particularly resilience.

“Despite the challenges we have faced, Tanzania stands firm and ready to rebuild, strengthen what is good, and move forward. Women and youth are crucial in this process,” she added.

Dr. Migiro highlighted the need for dialogue and reconciliation, urging citizens, especially women, to actively participate in national discussions.

She referenced the ongoing commission investigating the root causes of the unrest that occurred on October 29, 2025, noting that inclusive engagement is essential for lasting peace.

“The contribution of women and young people is central to building our nation. Their involvement ensures that Tanzania progresses together, leaving no one behind,” Dr. Migiro said.

The forum, which brought together hundreds of women and young leaders from across the country, focused on promoting peace, unity, and collaboration as pillars of Tanzania’s continued development.
