TFF, BMT and Blueberry Travels ease fans’ journey to AFCON 2025

The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), the National Sports Council (BMT) and travel agency Blueberry Travels have launched a coordinated arrangement to make it easier for fans to travel to Morocco for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which begins on December 21.

The initiative follows a growing number of calls and messages from supporters seeking reliable information on how they could travel together to cheer on Taifa Stars during the continental tournament.

Speaking on behalf of BMT, the Head of Sports Development, Benson Chacha, said the partnership was formed after receiving repeated requests from the public.

He noted that TFF and BMT reviewed the concerns and agreed to work with Blueberry Travels as the official facilitator for fans’ travel.

Chacha said the aim is to ensure that Tanzanians have safe, well-organised and affordable travel options as they head to Morocco to support the national team.

Blueberry Travels Marketing Officer Kelvin Charles expressed gratitude to TFF and BMT for entrusting the agency with the responsibility of assisting fans.

He said the company has prepared packages that reflect the income levels of many Tanzanians, covering return air tickets, accommodation and local transport.

According to him, the packages vary depending on the match, with prices for the Tanzania versus Nigeria game on December 21 set at 2,535 US dollars for individuals and 2,320 US dollars per person for fans travelling in pairs.

The Tanzania versus Uganda match on December 27 costs 2,970 US dollars for single travellers and 2,700 US dollars per person for pairs.

For the Tanzania versus Tunisia match on December 30, individuals will pay 3,000 US dollars, while those travelling in twos will pay 2,780 US dollars each.

Fans who want to attend all matches will pay 5,250 US dollars for a single package or 4,400 US dollars per person for a shared package.

On the readiness of the national team, TFF Communications Officer Cliford Mario Ndimbo said preparations are progressing well in camp, with strong morale among the players.

He stated that the federation’s ambition is to guide the team to the knockout phase and eventually secure a place in the quarter-finals.

Ndimbo added that players who had been away from camp are now reporting back and joining the rest of the squad as final preparations continue ahead of the journey to Morocco.
