TCB unveils holiday cashback campaign to ease festive spending for customers

The Tanzania Commercial Bank (TCB) has launched a special holiday campaign aimed at making the festive season more affordable for its customers by offering a 10 percent cashback on qualifying transactions made with the Popote Visa card.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam during the launch, TCB’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Alex Dwashi, said the campaign is part of the bank’s broader effort to promote financial inclusion and encourage safer, more convenient digital payments.

He noted that festive seasons often come with increased financial pressure, and the cashback offer is designed to ease that burden for customers.

Jesse Jackson, the bank’s Chief Officer for Digital and Innovation Services, said the 10 percent reward demonstrates TCB’s commitment to supporting customers through modern, reliable digital solutions.

He explained that cashless payment systems do not only improve convenience but also enhance security by reducing risks associated with carrying physical cash. Jackson added that TCB continues to strengthen its digital infrastructure to ensure customers access fast and efficient services wherever they are.

Lilian Mtali, TCB’s Director for SME and Retail Banking, said the initiative will help customers get more value from their everyday spending during the holiday period.

She described the campaign as a key part of the bank’s long-term strategy to modernize financial services and promote a culture of digital payments across the country.

The campaign runs throughout the festive season, and TCB is encouraging customers to activate and use their Popote Visa cards to enjoy the cashback benefit.

The bank emphasized that the card is accepted globally and provides instant transaction alerts, offering customers a secure and flexible way to make payments both locally and internationally.

With rising demand for convenient financial services, TCB says the holiday cashback campaign is one of the ways it aims to support Tanzanians in managing their expenses and enjoying a stress-free festive season.
