The Speaker of the National Assembly of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mussa Azzan Zungu, on Thursday, December 4, 2025, hosted a delegation of European Union (EU) ambassadors in a move aimed at deepening cooperation between Tanzania and EU member states.
The delegation was led by the EU Ambassador to Tanzania, Hon. Christine Grau, during a visit to the Parliament’s satellite offices in Dar es Salaam.
During the meeting, the ambassadors presented their reports and discussed strategies to strengthen collaboration in areas of mutual interest, highlighting shared goals in governance, development, and parliamentary engagement.
The dialogue also focused on advancing parliamentary diplomacy, fostering closer relations between the Tanzanian Parliament and the European Parliament.
The session concluded with the issuance of joint statements emphasizing mutual commitment to sustainable development, democratic governance, and continued bilateral engagement.
The meeting brought together ambassadors representing Finland, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and Germany, reflecting the EU’s broad engagement with Tanzania and its support for constructive dialogue at the parliamentary level.
