Dar es Salaam will host a high-level capacity-building workshop for government communication officers from across Mainland Tanzania on 17–18 December 2025.
The meeting, organized by the Department of Information (MAELEZO) under the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts, and Sports, is aimed at strengthening the skills of officers in sharing government activities with the public.
The training will bring together officers handling information, communications, protocol, and government relations from Ministries, regional and local government offices, autonomous departments, agencies, cities, municipalities, towns, and district councils.
Officials attending the workshop will learn new strategies to improve government-public engagement, enhance stakeholder relations, and promote Tanzania’s image both nationally and internationally.
The event will be held at Johari Rotana Hotel in Dar es Salaam, starting at 8:00 AM on 17 December. Participants from outside Dar es Salaam will have their travel and daily allowances covered by the Ministry.
The Ministry has urged all institutions to ensure their communication heads attend this strategic workshop to benefit from the training and apply new skills in their work.
