Football enthusiasts are preparing for an electrifying friendly match between Tanzania’s biggest clubs, Simba and Yanga, set for December 21 at KMC Complex in Mwenge, Dar es Salaam. The event aims to foster unity, solidarity, and a culture of peace within Tanzanian football.
Speaking at a press conference today at Serena Hotel, representatives from both clubs expressed their excitement for the match, which is expected to attract a massive turnout.
Simba’s Communications and Media Manager, Ahmed Ally, confirmed that the game will be free to attend and emphasized that only genuine supporters of the clubs will take part, with no hired or substitute players involved.
“The match has received full support from the government, the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), and other relevant organizations. Preparations are progressing smoothly, and our team entered camp yesterday to gear up for the game,” Ally said.
Yanga’s spokesperson, Ally Kamwe, expressed confidence in his team’s readiness and encouraged fans to show their support.
“We invite all Yanga fans to come out in large numbers and witness this exciting match, which promises to be a thrilling experience,” Kamwe said.
He added that the friendly clash is designed to demonstrate that the longstanding rivalry between Simba and Yanga continues in the spirit of sportsmanship, without any hostility, while promoting a message of unity among Tanzanian football fans.
In addition to the football action, the event will feature live entertainment from popular artists, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.
