Prime Minister Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba today, December 5, 2025, visited the Kisesa Ward Executive Office in Magu District Council, Mwanza Region, to assess the damage caused by the unrest of October 29, 2025.

His message to citizens was clear, direct, and centered on strengthening unity, peace, and shared responsibility.

He emphasized that public servants exist to serve the people, and that every official must focus on resolving the challenges faced by ordinary Tanzanians.

He reminded citizens that the strength of the nation begins with their commitment to love, protect, and build Tanzania.

According to him, no one should allow themselves to be influenced by individuals whose intentions do not align with the country’s well-being, especially those who encourage violence or destruction while they themselves live comfortably outside Tanzania and do not share the daily realities of its citizens.

Dr. Nchemba highlighted that anyone who promotes the destruction of public property is ultimately attempting to sabotage the nation.

He urged citizens to reject such influences and safeguard the resources and institutions that belong to them.

He also revisited President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan’s decision to pardon the young people involved in the October unrest, noting that the pardon was granted in the spirit of understanding and reconciliation, and with the hope that such actions will not be repeated.

He reaffirmed Tanzania’s identity as a beacon of peace and conflict resolution, both regionally and globally.

At a time when the country is advancing economically and discovering valuable minerals that position it as a leading nation in Africa, he stressed that maintaining stability is crucial.

He urged citizens to remain vigilant, resist crime, and protect the nation’s progress, noting that many external actors are increasingly eyeing Tanzania’s resources.

Dr. Nchemba concluded by calling on all Tanzanians to stand together, defend their nation’s achievements, and continue building a peaceful, prosperous future for every citizen.
