President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan’s leadership has been credited with making Tanzanian women safer and more empowered, as her initiatives transform infrastructure, access to finance, and social protection programs across the country.

Ms. Sikitiko Casian Mapunda, a resident of Nguvu Mpya, described President Samia as a courageous and visionary leader who prioritizes women’s and children’s welfare.

On Monday, she highlighted the President’s efforts to engage directly with youth, hear their concerns, and address challenges that previous administrations often overlooked.

“Thanks to Madam President, Gongolamboto’s roads are completely transformed they are now smooth and passable, comparable to European standards. Health facilities are accessible, and even smaller local roads can now be used safely at any time,” Ms. Mapunda said.

She praised the management of the 10 percent council loans allocated to women, youth, and people with disabilities, calling for simplified procedures to ensure more beneficiaries can access them.

Ms. Mapunda also credited President Samia with significantly reducing gender-based violence, including sexual assaults against girls and women.

“Before her leadership, many women feared traveling through certain areas due to the high risk of assault. Today, women and girls move with confidence and safety,” she said.

Under President Samia’s leadership, Tanzania is witnessing a shift where women feel empowered, communities are safer, and social services are more inclusive, demonstrating the tangible impact of targeted government interventions on citizens’ daily lives.
