Prime Minister Dr. Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba has ordered the Ministry of Works to expedite the completion of design plans for the Kiwira–Isangati and Kimo–Kafwafwa roads, covering a total of 22 kilometres, with a deadline set for April next year.
The Prime Minister issued the directive while inspecting ongoing infrastructure projects in Mbeya Region, stressing that construction should begin immediately once the designs are finalised.
“Ensure proper supervision of contractors and conduct thorough evaluations to guarantee that the work corresponds with the funds invested,” Dr. Mwigulu said.
Deputy Minister for Works, Eng. Godfrey Kasekenya, assured that the ministry is well-prepared to complete the road designs on schedule, paving the way for smooth construction progress.
