TRA United head coach, Etienne Ndayiragije, has described his team’s participation in the Mapinduzi Cup as an important opportunity to build and strengthen the squad.
Speaking during a training session, Ndayiragije said the tournament would provide ample chance to understand his players better, especially since he joined the team only recently.
He added that, alongside the existing players, several young talents would be given opportunities to join the squad, allowing them to showcase their abilities while also helping the coaching team assess their current performance levels.
“This participation is a positive step for us, and we are proud of it. We needed tournaments like this to continue building the team and to have sufficient time for evaluation,” the coach said.
Ndayiragije also emphasized that TRA United’s involvement in the competition is driven by the desire to compete, not just to participate, underlining the significance and seriousness with which they approach the tournament.
