The National Sports Council of Tanzania (BMT) has donated five footballs and a dozen sets of jerseys to Ilembula Sports Villa, a Njombe Region–Based club competing in the Regional League, in a move aimed at strengthening grassroots football development.
the donation forms part of BMT’S 2025/2026 programme, which focuses on promoting sports development from the lower levels while nurturing and expanding opportunities for young talents across the country.
receiving the equipment, Ilembula Sports Villa Chairman Iddy Mayosa thanked bmt for the timely support, noting that it would play a key role in the team’s preparations for league fixtures.
he said the equipment would ease training constraints, enhance match readiness and boost players’ morale as the club continues its campaign in the Regional League.
bmt said the initiative reflects its continued commitment to developing sports through practical interventions, starting at the grassroots and building a strong pipeline of talent that can progress to higher competitive levels nationally.
