Youth nee new Ministry as key to driving change

By The Respodents Reporter

Tanzanian youth say the creation of the Ministry of Youth Development opens a new chapter, giving them a real chance to influence national policies and contribute to the country’s development.

“Before, our ideas often had nowhere to go. Now, with this Ministry, we finally have a platform to present our thoughts and make a difference,” said Denis Faustine, a resident of Ilala, Dar es Salaam, on Thursday.

The Ministry is expected to bridge the gap between young people and decision-makers, ensuring their voices are heard in shaping social and economic initiatives.

Residents like Faustine see it as an opportunity for youth to move from observers to active participants in national development.

Experts say the initiative could transform the way young Tanzanians engage with government programs, strengthening their role as drivers of change in society.
