Yanga SC is preparing to face Algeria’s JS Kabylie in a decisive CAF Champions League group-stage clash tomorrow, with the Tanzanian giants targeting three crucial away points.

Head coach Pedro Goncalves revealed that the team has held two training sessions since arriving in Algeria and is set to conduct a final session today ahead of the high-stakes match.

“We are ready physically, mentally, and tactically for the 90 minutes tomorrow,” said Goncalves. “Our players understand the game plan, and I’m confident they can execute it to secure the result we need on Algerian soil.”

Pedro emphasized that this will be Yanga’s second match in a challenging group. “We earned our first three points at home, and now we face another tough test against JS Kabylie, a club with passionate supporters. This is my fourth visit here, and I’ve seen firsthand the energy and commitment of their fans,” he added.

He described the trip to Algeria as a prime opportunity, stating that the team’s focus is entirely on winning.

While acknowledging differences from their previous match both in terms of opposition and environment Goncalves believes his squad has adapted well to the cold weather conditions.

“I may be new at Yanga, but I’m impressed with the group I inherited. We continue to grow with every game, and tomorrow will be another measure of our progress,” he said.

Midfielder Mohamed Doumbia echoed his coach’s confidence, noting that the vibrant crowd will provide extra motivation.

He added that the team’s experience in diverse environments will help them stay composed and perform under pressure.

“Playing in front of big crowds is familiar territory for us. Yanga has faced such atmospheres before, and my teammates and I are ready to embrace the challenge and enjoy the game,” Doumbia said.

With morale high and preparations complete, Yanga SC will hope to break through JS Kabylie’s stronghold and claim vital points to strengthen their position in the group.
