Simba SC kick off camp ahead of Petro de Luanda clash

By Victoria Godfrey

Simba SC has officially entered training camp on Tuesday as they gear up for their first Group Stage match in the CAF Champions League, set for November 21 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

The Tanzanian giants will open their campaign at home against Angola’s Petro de Luanda, aiming to start the tournament on a strong note.

Simba’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, said the players had a short break following their 2–1 Premier League victory over JKT Tanzania on November 8 at Meja Jenerali Isamuhyo Stadium.

Ally explained that the current preparations focus on players who are not on national team duty, while those representing their countries are already with their national squads.

“After our win against JKT Tanzania, we allowed the players a brief rest to recharge physically and mentally. Today, they have returned to camp to begin preparations for the international challenge ahead,” Ally said.
