Simba SC is set to depart tomorrow for Mali as they prepare for their second Group Stage match in the CAF Champions League against Stade Malien. The match is scheduled to kick off at midnight, Tanzanian time.
The Tanzanian champions will be aiming to recover from a tough opening defeat at home, determined to secure their first points in the group.
Simba’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, confirmed that all 22 players traveling are in good condition following the team’s final training session.
“Only two players, Moussa Camara and Abdulrazack Hamza, will miss the final session as they continue to recover from injuries, but the squad is fully prepared for the trip,” Ally said.
The traveling squad includes key players Yakoub Suleimani, Hussein Abel, Shomari Kapombe, David Kameta, Antony Mligo, Karaboue Chamou, Rushine De Ruck, Wilson Nangu, Yusuph Kagoma, and Alassane Kante.
Other members are Neo Maema, Baby Camara, Jean Ahoua, Elie Mpanzu, Joshua Mutale, Steven Mukwala, Hussein Simfuko, Selemani Mwalimu, and Jonathan Sowah.
Simba will be hoping to turn their fortunes around in Mali, with fans eager to see their stars bounce back and deliver a strong performance on African soil.
