SHIMIVUTA kicks off Annual general meeting in Tabora focus on competition rules, budget, and electronic training

The Tanzania Higher Education Sports Federation (SHIMIVUTA) has officially launched its annual general meeting today at Penta Hotel in Tabora, with the event set to conclude tomorrow.

Speaking to The Respondents Online, SHIMIVUTA President Juhudi Samu said the meeting aims to deliberate on and approve critical matters for this year’s sports competitions.

“Key items on the agenda include reviewing the rules for the 50th competition, which will be hosted in Tabora, evaluating the 2024/2025 financial statements, and approving the 2025/2026 budget,” he explained.

The meeting will also review the outcomes of the 49th competition held in Kilimanjaro in 2024 and approve electronic training for the use of the “Fomu Mama” system.

“Additionally, we will visit all sports venues that will be used for the 50th competition,” Samu added.

The SHIMIVUTA President emphasized that all preparations are progressing smoothly to ensure the competitions are conducted professionally and foster strong competition among participants.
