President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, unveil his new Cabinet at the State House in Zanzibar, marking the beginning of a new phase in his administration.
According to a statement issued by the Directorate of Communications in the State House, the announcement ceremony will begin at 4:00 a.m. and will be attended by editors and journalists from various media outlets.
The event will also be broadcast live across multiple platforms to ensure nationwide coverage.
The new Cabinet, Dr. Mwinyi is expected to say, will play a pivotal role in implementing Zanzibar’s key development priorities under the Revolutionary Government.
The priorities are centered on advancing the Blue Economy, attracting investment, improving social services, expanding infrastructure, and promoting inclusive development for all citizens.
President Mwinyi will also use the occasion to outline his government’s vision and strategic direction, reflecting his commitment to deepening economic transformation and improving livelihoods across the islands.
Meanwhile, the swearing-in ceremony for the appointed ministers will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. within the grounds of the State House in Zanzibar.
According to the statement signed by Mr. Raagey Mohamed, Deputy Director of Communications at the State House, the event will mark an important milestone as Zanzibar officially embarks on the Second Phase of the Eighth Government.
