The grand opening of katoto tennis academy courts which is based in Dodoma region are scheduled for this month end.
Paul Ngavi who is head coach and founder of the academy said the grand opening of courts will be held from 29 to 30 in the region .
He said the three courts are based in Jendengwa area in the Region and they are of modern standard .
Further he said they expect many people to attend the grand opening event as they have extended invitations to many tennis lovers across the country.
And the opening tournament will see players competing in both age categories which include seniors categories and they will be various awards to be given to winners in each category.
"We started this Katoto tennis academy last year ,we had only four kids playing the game but now the number has increased to 50,(42 youngsters and 8 adults)this month end we will open our three courts and hopefully next year we will finish the remaining two courts"he said .
Ngavi said the aim of the academy is to see that many people in the region are playing tennis at both local and international events.
"Our aim is to see that we have many people playing tennis,the country has many talented tennis players but they lack proper training so here at our academy we offer the required training for them (players )so that they become top players,"he said .
He said future plans of the Katoto tennis academy is to broaden the scope by opening Football , Basketball and Volleyball academies and playing fields .
