JKT Queens say they are fully prepared to make a strong impression as the CAF Women’s Champions League kicks off tomorrow in Egypt.

The Tanzanian champions are looking to set the tone early as they open their continental campaign against Gaborone United of Botswana.

The team, based under the Tanzania People’s Defence Forces, travelled to Egypt earlier in the week and have been undergoing final training sessions ahead of the competition.

Speaking from Egypt, JKT Tanzania and JKT Queens Communications Officer Masau Bwire said the squad is in excellent shape, both physically and mentally.

“We thank God, the team is in good condition. We have no injuries, and the players are motivated and focused,” Bwire said.

“We are here to fight for our country, to represent Tanzania with pride, and to show the strength of our women’s football.”he added

He called on Tanzanians to continue supporting the team, urging those living in Egypt to attend the matches and cheer from the stands.

“JKT Queens are here for the nation. A good performance will not only bring pride to the club but also elevate Tanzania’s reputation in women’s football across Africa,” he added.

After facing Gaborone United in their opening match, JKT Queens will return to action on November 12 against Aces Mimosas of Ivory Coast, before concluding their group fixtures against TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

JKT Queens are competing in Group B, which includes TP Mazembe, Aces Mimosas and Gaborone United. The team’s goal is to progress beyond the group stage and secure a place in the knockout rounds.

With determination high and preparations complete, JKT Queens now turn their attention to delivering results on the pitch carrying the hopes of Tanzanian football with them.
