Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has called on all Tanzanians to uphold peace and stability following the conclusion of the 2025 General Elections.
The party held a special National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Dodoma on November 5, 2025, chaired by CCM Chairperson and President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan. This was the first NEC gathering since the general elections held on October 29, 2025.
During the session, the committee reviewed the political climate before, during, and after the elections, commending Tanzanians for their active participation and high voter turnout, which reflected strong confidence in the electoral process and in the party.
The NEC condemned acts of violence and destruction of public and private property by some individuals, which led to loss of lives and damage to property. It reiterated CCM’s commitment to self-evaluation, disciplined leadership, and responsible governance.
The party urged the government and relevant authorities to take appropriate measures to safeguard peace, stability, and national unity.
The statement was signed by Kenani Laban Kihongosi, NEC Secretary for Ideology, Publicity, and Training.
