Tanzanian football powerhouse Yanga will face Malawi’s Silver Strikers tomorrow in the opening leg of the CAF Champions League, in what promises to be a fiercely contested encounter.
Ahead of the match, Yanga’s head coach and players spoke to the media about their preparations and mindset.
Head Coach Romain Folz stressed that in a tournament of this magnitude, there are no easy games or weak opponents.
“Every match is crucial, and tomorrow’s game is no exception. We are fully prepared and focused on achieving a positive result,” Folz said.
He added that the team will hold a final training session later this evening to fine-tune their strategy.

On behalf of the squad, Duke Abuya expressed confidence in the team’s readiness. “Preparations have been thorough, and tomorrow’s match is very important. With guidance from our coach, we are confident of leaving Malawi with a good result,” he said.
