The Secretary of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Women’s Wing (UWT) in Iringa Rural District, Sophia Nyalusi, has captured attention after kneeling before residents of Ulanda Ward to humbly seek votes for President Samia Suluhu Hassan, CCM parliamentary candidates, and councillors ahead of the October 29, 2025 General Election.
In an emotional appeal, Ms. Nyalusi urged voters to turn out in large numbers and endorse the ruling party, saying CCM has continued to deliver tangible development across Iringa and the country at large.
“My fellow residents of Iringa, I kindly ask that on October 29 we come out in large numbers to vote for our President, Members of Parliament, and Councillors under CCM,” she said.
“You have witnessed the great work done by the Sixth-Phase Government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan from improvements in healthcare infrastructure, education, roads, and water services to other key sectors that have transformed people’s lives.”he added
Ms. Nyalusi said her act of kneeling was a gesture of respect and humility, symbolizing her gratitude to the people and her earnest plea for them to continue supporting CCM.
She added that the ruling party remains steadfast in its mission to uplift communities through inclusive and sustainable development.
“CCM has always been the people’s choice because it stands for progress, stability, and unity,” she said. “Let us safeguard the achievements we have made under President Samia’s leadership by voting wisely.”
