NCCR-Mageuzi calls for peace ahead of October elections

NCCR-Mageuzi has strongly opposed any demonstrations outside the official voting process ahead of the national elections on October 28 and 29, 2025.

The party emphasized that voters should express their voices only at the ballot box.

Speaking at the party’s Dar es Salaam headquarters, Parmanent Secretary Dr. Evaline Wilbard Munisi said the party’s 2025 manifesto prioritizes peace and national unity.

“The foundation of peace and cohesion is national consensus. We have achieved key reforms to election laws through dialogue and collaboration with other political parties, with government endorsement. This ensures fairness and transparency in the electoral process,” she said.

Dr. Munisi stressed that NCCR-Mageuzi campaigns have been peaceful so far and that the party fully trusts the National Electoral Commission, led by Director Ramadhani Kailima, to oversee free and fair elections.

“As participants in this election, we do not support any actions that could cause fear or unrest among voters. Protests, if any, should take place at the ballot box. On October 29, we urge our supporters to vote ‘Yes’ for the reforms and changes we all want,” she said.

She praised the Registrar of Political Parties for providing guidance and fostering cooperation among parties, saying this approach has made campaigns more diplomatic and focused on debate rather than confrontation.

Dr. Munisi also commended President Samia Suluhu Hassan and her government for maintaining stability and taking firm decisions despite various challenges.

“Tanzanians should take pride in her leadership, courage, and commitment to the nation,” she added.

NCCR-Mageuzi reiterated its commitment to peaceful elections and urged all citizens to participate responsibly in shaping the country’s future.
