Mkuranga residents ready to participate in October 29 elections peacefully

Residents of Mkuranga in Pwani Region have expressed their readiness to take part in the upcoming General Elections on October 29, 2025, urging especially young people to exercise their constitutional right to vote for leaders capable of driving development over the next five years.

Speaking to the media, local residents, including elder Maulid Mwigange and Mariam Ngayonga, reassured the public that security and peace will be guaranteed on election day.

 They highlighted the government’s measures to ensure every citizen can vote freely and safely.

“We will choose a leader who meets our expectations. We are motivated to participate because of the visible development in Mkuranga, including the upgraded bus terminal, and we are not facing any intimidation,” said Mohamed Makame, a resident and small business owner.


Meanwhile, Habiba Jasmin, a young entrepreneur, called on youth to make informed choices and use the opportunity to decide their future for the next five years. 

She appealed for a peaceful election so that residents can continue with their daily economic activities without disruption.
