Captain of Tanzania’s National Boxing Team, Yusuph Changalawe, has pledged that the team is well-prepared to make the nation proud by winning medals at the Africa Zone III Boxing Championships scheduled to take place in Kenya from October 18 to 25, 2025.
Speaking to The Respondents Online, Changalawe said the team has undergone extensive training and that every boxer is highly motivated and determined to perform at their best.
“We have trained hard, and everyone is in great shape and focused on achieving our targets. The technical bench has done its job, and now it’s our turn to deliver in the ring,” said Changalawe.
He added that the players are in good health and high spirits, calling on Tanzanians to continue supporting and praying for them as they aim for victory.
“We thank God that everyone is fit and ready. We ask for continued prayers from our fellow Tanzanians because we are determined to bring home gold medals both mine and my teammates’,” he emphasized.
Changalawe acknowledged that the competition will be tough but remained optimistic that the team will fight hard to ensure Tanzania’s flag flies high.
