The Tanzanian National Swimming Team is stepping up preparations ahead of the Third East Africa Zone Championships, set to take place in Kenya this October.
David Mwasyoge, Chairman of the Tanzania Swimming Association (TSA), told The Respondent Online that the team comprises 30 athletes drawn from across the country.
“Our aim is to ensure that Tanzania is well represented and that our swimmers are ready to compete for medals,” Mwasyoge said.
“Training is focused on refining techniques and strategies to help our athletes perform at their best.”he adde
He added that the championships also provide an opportunity for young swimmers to improve their personal times and gain valuable experience on the regional stage.
Mwasyoge called on stakeholders, sponsors, and sports enthusiasts to support swimming, enabling young athletes to fully participate and excel in the competition.
