Tanzania has stepped up efforts to market its tourism sector in Europe with the launch of the My Tanzania Roadshow in Stuttgart, an event officiated by the country’s Ambassador to Germany, Hassani Mwameta.
The exhibition, organized by KILIFAIR, has attracted more than 80 tourism companies from both Tanzania and Germany, offering a platform to showcase the country’s world-class attractions.
Ambassador Mwameta said the initiative reflects Tanzania’s commitment to economic diplomacy, with tourism being one of the top priorities in strengthening bilateral relations.
“Events like this provide an excellent opportunity to highlight Tanzania’s unique tourism offerings while reinforcing Germany’s role as one of our largest source markets,” he noted.
He added that the roadshow is part of broader efforts to position Tanzania as a premier travel destination in Europe.
Germany already contributes a significant number of tourists to Tanzania each year, drawn by the country’s rich cultural heritage, diverse wildlife, and natural wonders, including the Serengeti, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar.
Industry players have welcomed the roadshow as a timely platform for building stronger partnerships between Tanzanian and German tour operators, while also opening new avenues for investment in the sector.
With tourism being a critical driver of the Tanzanian economy, initiatives such as the My Tanzania Roadshow underline the government’s resolve to expand its international market reach and promote the country as the heart of African tourism.
