Simba Sports Club has energized its fan base with the official launch of the VIP A branch in Magomeni, part of the club’s buildup to Simba Day, set for September 10 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
During the inauguration, Simba’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, praised supporters for their dedication in establishing the branch.
He explained that it began as a small group of fans gathering at the stadium, which later grew into a fully organized branch.
Ally encouraged other fan groups to follow VIP A’s example, noting that many branches start with informal stadium gatherings before formalizing.
“We are proud to launch the VIP A Magomeni branch. After the ceremony, we will share lunch and spend time with children in need at the Umrah Center in Magomeni,” Ally said.
He added, “At the stadium, we gather like a family, but it is important to carry this unity beyond the pitch. Members should meet at the branch to discuss ways to further advance Simba.”
Ally stressed that all branch leaders and members must actively embrace the club’s values and guidelines to strengthen their community.
On ticket matters, he reminded fans that tickets for the match against RS Berkane remain valid. Fans should bring the card used to purchase the ticket, and supporters are encouraged to attend in large numbers.
Meanwhile, Acting Branch Director Hamisi Kissiwa urged members to participate fully in Simba events.
“Simba is always moving forward, and every day brings new excitement. This Wednesday, we will celebrate Simba Day in full. I urge everyone to come to the stadium and be part of this important occasion,” Kissiwa said.
