Sanga vows to prioritize roads and services in Kigamboni

CCM parliamentary candidate for Kigamboni, Haran Nyakisa Sanga, has pledged to champion road infrastructure and other key social services if elected in the October 29 general election.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Somangira Ward, Sanga said the Sixth-Phase Government has already invested TZS 325 billion in development projects in Kigamboni, and he intends to build on that momentum.

“I am a people’s representative who listens to citizens, discusses their challenges, and seeks solutions with them. If you give me enough votes, I will go to Parliament with one major agenda—roads,” he said.

He pointed out that residents of Sala are in need of a market, while those in Mkwajuni have long complained of power delays despite electricity poles and wires being installed. “Elect me so I can fast-track these projects,” he urged.

Sanga added that Somangira faces shortages of health facilities and schools, in addition to serious water supply challenges.

He reminded voters that in November 2022 President Samia Suluhu Hassan launched a 15-million-litre water tank in Kidarawe II, assuring Kigamboni residents of 100 percent water access.

“Give me your votes so that I can ensure this promise of safe and clean water for all is fully implemented,” he said.

The candidate also appealed to voters to elect Luja as councillor for Somangira so they can work together to resolve the ward’s problems. He praised President Samia, describing her as a courageous leader who has delivered significant progress for Tanzania.

“There is no greater gift we can give her than a landslide victory on October 29. By giving her strong votes, you will also be strengthening my voice in Parliament when demanding more resources for Kigamboni,” Sanga said.

He called on voters to avoid “experimenting” in the election, urging unity under CCM.

“Just like a torch needs three batteries to shine, not two and a piece of wood, we must rally behind Samia and CCM so that the light of development continues to shine in Kigamboni,” he said.

He also promised to hold regular public meetings if elected, while emphasizing the importance of working hard, living well, and staying focused as a community.
