NBC receives honorary award from JKCI for supporting children’s heart care

The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has been honoured by the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) with a prestigious award in recognition of its support for children in need of life-saving cardiac treatment.

The award was presented during a ceremony held at Serena Hotel in Dar es Salaam, where JKCI commended NBC for its role in helping vulnerable children access specialized heart care and regain hope for healthier lives.

According to the bank, the recognition underscores NBC’s long-term commitment to corporate social responsibility, with investments spanning health, education, environmental conservation, and youth development.

 “This award is a testament to our mission of leaving a lasting positive impact in the communities we serve,” NBC noted in a statement.

Accepting the award on behalf of the bank were NBC’s Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, Ms. Irene Peter, and Communications Manager, Ms. Brendansia Kileo.
