Residents of Namonge Ward are experiencing significant improvements in roads, healthcare, education, and access to basic services, thanks to development projects led by President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s government.

Bukombe parliamentary candidate, Dr. Doto Mashaka Biteko, highlighted these achievements during a community rally on September 9, 2025.

He said that Namonge once faced major development challenges, with limited roads, insufficient schools, and few health facilities.

“This ward had no proper road connecting Uyovu – Namonge – Nyalamandula. Health services were minimal, and many villages lacked schools. Development here was very low,” Dr. Biteko said.

He explained that the government’s initiatives have already brought visible changes, including the construction of dispensaries, a health center, and new schools.

“We are committed to raising the living standards in Namonge so that residents can enjoy quality healthcare, education, and infrastructure,” he added.

Dr. Biteko also shared CCM’s plans to further strengthen the ward as an agricultural hub through road construction, health improvements, and youth empowerment programs.

As part of this, the government plans to provide TZS 200 billion in loans to support youth businesses, alongside financial support for women and people with disabilities to start small enterprises.

Namonge councilor aspirant, Mlalu Bundala, praised the progress already made, highlighting projects such as a 61 km road, a water network with a 21-meter reservoir, seven primary schools, three secondary schools, and a health center.

“All villages in the ward now have electricity, and efforts to extend power to smaller settlements are ongoing,” Bundala said.

CCM Geita Regional Executive Committee member, Amani Msuwa, also commended the government for delivering projects that directly improve the lives of residents in the region.

With better roads, schools, healthcare facilities, water, and electricity networks, Namonge Ward is steadily transforming into a model of rural development, demonstrating how focused government initiatives can improve the everyday lives of citizens.
