In a show of party unity, lawyer and CCM veteran Sambwee Shitambala has pledged to support President Samia Suluhu Hassan and other CCM candidates ahead of the General Election on October 29, 2025.

Shitambala, who recently missed out on the party nomination for Mbeya Urban parliamentary seat, emphasized the importance of solidarity among CCM members to ensure the party’s continued success and the development of local communities.

“I was among 18 aspirants seeking the Mbeya Urban parliamentary nomination, but the party endorsed Patrick Mwalunenge. I respect that decision and now my focus is on working with him and other CCM members to deliver victory for the party,” Shitambala told journalists on September 8, 2025.

He stressed that CCM remains the only party capable of maintaining stability and driving progress in Tanzania, urging citizens to actively support the party at all levels  presidential, parliamentary, and local government.

Shitambala also confirmed a close working relationship with Patrick Mwalunenge, promising coordinated efforts to secure a decisive win for CCM in Mbeya Urban, both for parliamentary and council seats.

“This is about more than politics. By standing together, we can ensure meaningful development for our people and strong leadership under President Samia,” he added.

Local observers say such public displays of unity strengthen CCM’s position and send a clear message to voters that the party is committed to development and stability across the country.
