Tanzania’s JKT Queens are set to face South Sudan’s Yei Joint Stars in a crucial group-stage encounter tomorrow at the Ulinzi Complex Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.

The team opened their CECAFA campaign in spectacular fashion, defeating JKU Princess 5-0 on September 5, sending a strong signal to their regional rivals.

JKT Queens’ spokesperson, Masau Bwire, said preparations are complete and the squad is in high spirits.

“Our preparations are thorough, and the players are motivated. They are determined to keep our winning streak alive and deliver outstanding performances in the next match,” Bwire said.

He added that the team’s ultimate goal is to compete for the tournament title.

“The players are ready to make history. We want to continue our success and show the world that Tanzanian football is on the rise,” Bwire added.

Bwire urged Tanzanians to support the team, emphasizing that their backing will help JKT Queens raise the national flag high and demonstrate Tanzania’s growing strength in women’s football.
