The Chairperson of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Appeals Judge Jacobs Mwambegele, visited Mbeya City Council on September 19, 2025, to assess preparations for the 2025 General Election in Mbeya Urban and Uyole constituencies.
During the visit, Judge Mwambegele received updates from electoral officers across all councils in Mbeya Region, reviewing progress on the distribution of election materials and overall readiness.
He also toured campaign events of parliamentary candidates from the ruling CCM and opposition CUF parties, observing their engagement with voters.
The 2025 General Election is scheduled for October 29, 2025. INEC is urging citizens to participate actively, reminding them that voting is both a right and a responsibility.
The commission continues to promote its message: “Your Vote, Your Right – Come Out and Vote.”
