During the inauguration, President Dr. Mwinyi urged authorities to maintain cleanliness, prevent unauthorized trading outside the market, implement affordable taxation, and ensure regular repairs to keep the market in good condition.

He also encouraged immediate use of the bus terminal to improve transport services in the area.

The President emphasized the importance of empowering entrepreneurs, urging financial institutions to provide loans to support local business growth.

He also announced plans to establish more modern markets in areas such as Mombasa, Kibanda Maiti, and Malindi, further boosting economic activity across Zanzibar.

Residents expressed excitement over the new facility, noting that it will make trading safer, faster, and more profitable while improving the overall urban environment.
