The running mate of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) presidential candidate, Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, was warmly received today, September 5, 2025, during his arrival in Mbogwe District, Geita Region.
Dr. Nchimbi, who was recently named as the CCM vice-presidential candidate ahead of the October General Election, arrived at Masumbwe Primary School grounds where residents had gathered to greet him.
He was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko, who later accompanied him to interact with the crowd. The two leaders were seen in conversation shortly after Dr. Nchimbi’s arrival.
The reception featured cheers and traditional performances as supporters expressed their solidarity with the CCM ticket.
Party officials said the visit forms part of early campaign activities aimed at strengthening connections with citizens at the grassroots level.
Dr. Nchimbi’s stop in Mbogwe is among a series of regional engagements expected to highlight the CCM leadership agenda and rally support for the party’s candidates in the upcoming polls.
