Young Africans Sports Club (Yanga SC) has officially unveiled Congolese internationals Celestin Ecua and Andy Boyeli as part of its strategic squad reinforcement ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Midfielder Ecua joins Yanga from Zoman FC and is set to play a key role in the club’s domestic and continental campaigns.
He arrived in Tanzania earlier this week, where he was formally introduced to the club's management, technical team, and supporters before joining the rest of the squad for pre-season preparations.
Striker Andy Boyeli, who impressed last season in both the Congolese top flight and the CAF interclub competitions, is expected to add firepower to Yanga's attacking line.
His arrival is seen as a timely boost following the departure of several forwards at the end of last season.
The signings are part of Yanga’s broader efforts to build a competitive squad capable of defending their Premier League title and making a strong impact in the CAF Champions League.
The club is targeting another successful campaign both at home and abroad, and the inclusion of Boyeli and Ecua signals its intention to challenge at the highest levels.
Yanga fans have welcomed the new additions with enthusiasm, particularly Boyeli, whose scoring record has already raised expectations.
Supporters are eager to see the striker replicate his previous form in the green and yellow jersey.
By bringing in proven talent with international experience, Yanga SC is not only reinforcing its depth but also sending a strong message about its ambition to remain a dominant force in Tanzanian and African football.
