The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Construction, Ambassador Eng. Aisha Amour, has urged Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) leaders to prioritize innovation, professionalism, and accountability in managing the country’s road projects.
Speaking at a leadership training for TANROADS managers from all regions, Ambassador Eng. Amour stressed that these qualities are crucial for delivering high-quality infrastructure in line with the Sixth Phase Government’s vision of modern development that drives economic growth.
“The government continues to invest heavily in infrastructure. It is your responsibility to ensure that all projects are executed efficiently, completed on time, and meet the highest standards,” she said.
“You must also embrace global advances in science and technology to improve productivity and value for money.”he added
She emphasized that officials must manage government resources with transparency, efficiency, and accountability while fostering innovation in project delivery.
TANROADS Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Mohamed Besta, said the training is part of the agency’s strategy to strengthen the leadership and operational capacity of senior officers.
“The program will equip managers with the knowledge and skills needed to lead projects effectively, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines. Strong leadership in project management will contribute to national economic growth through robust infrastructure,” Eng. Besta said.
