The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, Ms. Agnes Meena, has called on staff from the Prime Minister’s Office to intensify efforts in educating the public about key programmes and initiatives overseen by the Office.
Speaking during her visit to the Prime Minister’s Office pavilion at the ongoing Nane Nane Agricultural Exhibition in Nzuguni, Dodoma, Ms. Meena emphasized the importance of communication in ensuring citizens understand government interventions that impact their daily lives.
“There is a growing public need to understand the roles and programmes coordinated by the Prime Minister’s Office. It’s important to strengthen public education efforts through various platforms,” she said.
Ms. Meena was accompanied by the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Stephen Nindi, and the Dodoma District Commissioner, Jabir Shekimweri.
The Nane Nane Exhibition, held annually to celebrate farmers and showcase innovations in the agricultural sector, is this year guided by the theme: “Elect Good Leaders for Sustainable Development in Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries 2025.”
The Prime Minister’s Office plays a central role in coordinating cross-sectoral government programmes and disaster management, as well as overseeing regional and local government administration.
